Volunteer

This year marks a historic milestone—the 80th Anniversary of Liberation Day. To make this celebration the biggest and best yet, we need YOU! The  Association of Guernsey Charities, in collaboration with the  States of Guernsey, is seeking enthusiastic volunteers to help make the day truly special.

Whether you have a few hours to spare or would like to take on a leadership role, your support will make a real difference.

Volunteer locations
We need volunteers across several key locations:

  • St Peter Port Seafront
  • Along the Cavalcade Route
  • L’Eree

Why volunteer?

  • Be part of Guernsey’s history and play a key role in the 80th anniversary celebrations to help preserve Guernsey’s heritage.
  • Have a front row seat for the cavalcade
  • Flexible shifts: volunteer for as little as 2.5 hours (minimum age 16). We offer flexible shift options throughout the day.
  • Various roles available: we have a range of roles to suit different interests, including marshaling, stewarding and more!
  • Training & resources provided: full training and support will be provided to ensure you feel confident and prepared for your role.

Lead volunteers needed
We are also looking for a small number of lead volunteers to assist with the co-ordination of volunteer teams at different locations around town. This is an excellent opportunity for those looking to take on a leadership role and make a bigger impact!
