Islanders can continue their Liberation Day celebrations into the evening as organisers transform the daytime tea tent on Crown Pier into a new electronic music event.  

Guernsey Arts will be taking over Castle Cornet this year with an eclectic line up of activity and entertainment, working with the Museum Team to commemorate and celebrate the 81st anniversary of the Liberation of Guernsey.

St Peter Port's Liberation Day celebrations have been finalised, with the full programme now available on the Liberation Day website.

The three armed services will be represented in this year’s Liberation Day military parade, with some well-known faces returning alongside a new contingent visiting Guernsey for the first time. 

Two parishes - St Pierre du Bois and St Andrew's - have both announced full-day programmes for 9 May, featuring live music, food, entertainment and activities for all ages, while also reflecting the historic importance of Liberation Day.

Liberation Day organisers have confirmed the Downs’ Steam Vintage Fair as part of the weekend’s programme once again this year.  

Registrations are now open for Liberation Day hampers for the island’s war-time community, made possible through the generous sponsorship of St Peter Port Constables. 

Islanders are invited to attend this year's Liberation Day service in the Town Church, the final one to be led by the Very Reverend Tim Barker before his retirement.

Liberation Day organisers have created a vibrant and inclusive programme for Albert Pier on 9 May, offering something for everyone. 

Following the success of 2025, the Liberation Tea Tent will return to Crown Pier on 9 May, this year made possible through the generous support of Hedosophia.
