Please read this page carefully and note the documentation you are required to submit and the responsibilities of every stallholder, in particular those selling food and drink and/or using electricity and gas.
Please also note that if the correct documentation is not provided by 31 March 2026 you will not be permitted to operate at the Liberation Day event in 2026.
PITCHES
3m x 3m and 6m x 3m artisan craft or charity pitch
These are positioned along the Albany. Pitches are taken on a first come first served basis. No power will be provided.
3m x 3m and 6m x 3m food or drink pitch
All food and drink stalls are positioned on the Albert Pier. A site plan will be drawn up and circulated ahead of each event to confirm your position.
6m x 3m premium food pitch
These pitches will be located in a premium position at the end of Albert Pier around the music stage.
Please ensure you apply for the correct size pitch as site plan for Albert Pier are drawn up accordingly.
PITCH FEES
3m x 3m food/drink or craft/artisan pitch: £45
6m x 3m food/drink or craft/artisan pitch: £70
6m x 3m premium food/drink pitch: £120
3m x 3m charity pitch: £20
6m x 3m charity pitch: £35
Please ensure you apply for the correct size pitch as the site plans are drawn up accordingly.
POWER
Power can be provided to pitches on the Albert Pier.
Power will be charged on consumption.
Your power requirements must be confirmed at the time of booking and your pitch will be positioned to ensure the required power can be supplied to you.
If you arrive on site with any equipment not listed on your booking you will not be able to plug it in.
When you book your pitch, select your pitch size and then scroll down to Add-Ons and select the level of power you require. We will confirm you have booked the correct power with the infrastructure team based on the equipment and wattage you have listed.
If you require more than 16KW of power we will confirm the price to provide this once a full list of equipment and its wattage has been reviewed.
A PAT certificate must be supplied for each portable electrical item on your pitches and an Electrical Installation Certificate (EIC) for fixed electrical items in a mobile catering unit
All electrical cables must be safe, weather protected and not create a trip hazard.

0-4KW: £20 per event
5-8KW: £40 per event
9-16KW: £60 per event

GAS
If you use gas on your pitch you must provide a Gas Safe certificate for all LPG appliances, pipework and connections issued by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered business or engineer.
LPG gas cylinders must be stored upright, secured, position no less than 1m outside of any structures and be in good condition.
ALCOHOL LICENSE
If you wish to sell alcohol please include this in your booking and permission will be obtained from the Licensee.
SAFETY DOCUMENTATION, COMPLIANCE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Each stallholder must provide a public liability certificate and the following up-to-date safety and risk assessment documentation for food and drink pitches by 31 March 2026.
If this documentation is not received by 31 March 2026 you will not be permitted to operate at the Liberation Day event.
All pitches must ensure they have the following on their pitches at the Liberation Day event and are aware of their responsibilities:
ALL PITCHES
Public liability insurance certificate. You will be asked to provide a copy of your public liability insurance in advance of the event and must have a copy with you.
Basic first aid kit
All stallholders are responsible for:
providing all your own equipment, gazebos, tables etc.
Keeping your pitch and the area around it tidy and to not block walkways and public access or create trip hazards.
Taking all rubbish including catering detritus, cooking oil etc with you at the end of the day and disposing of it responsibly, recycling where possible.
FOOD AND DRINK PITCHES
Gas Safe certificate for LPG appliances, pipework and connections issued by a suitably qualified Gas Safe registered business or engineer. For the States of Guernsey's Health and Safety Executive's guidance on gas safety please click here.

A risk assessment for your pitch.
A fire extinguisher checked and tested within the previous 12 months by a competent person that is suitable for the equipment on your pitch. The recommendation is:
Pitches cooking food: 4kg dry powder or 4 litres of foam.
Pitches with a deep fat fryer: to fit a flame failure device and have a suitable fire blanket
Pitches with generators / electrical equipment: 4kg dry powder or carbon dioxide
Any pitch providing food or drink must be registered with the Office of Environmental Health and Pollution Regulation (OEHPR) and have a food hygiene rating.
Any pitch providing food or drink must comply with the OEHPR's guidelines, including the provision of adequate hand-washing facilities, for example hot water in a flask, soap, hand basin/ bowl and paper towels. The facilities should be visible – not tucked under the table or in a van – and must be used regularly. We have been advised that hand sanitiser and gloves is not enough.
