Get Involved

We would love to hear from anyone who may not normally take part in the day but would be keen to join us. This could be anything from opening a stall to performing or volunteering to be a marshal on the day. We want to continue bringing Guernsey together and supporting one another, especially on such an important day for the Bailiwick.

One of the highlights of this year will be the Community Cavalcade. Why not take part on foot and lead the military vehicles into town?

How you could get involved:

  • Come into St Peter Port on the day dressed in red, white and blue;
  • Dust off your hangar ball outfit and your child’s evacuee costume and join the Community Cavalcade;
  • Do you have a hidden talent? Are you a secret juggler? Join in the Cavalcade as part of the entertainment!
  • Bring together a group of friends and get creative, dress to impress!
  • Decorate your house in red, white and blue; or
  • Volunteer to marshal on the day - you can do as little or as much as you want, even just a couple of hours would really help us.

Are you a business looking to support the day? You can:

  • Ask your staff to give a couple of hours to help marshal at the event;
  • Run a cake stall on the day and raise money for a charity; or
  • Gather a group of colleagues and join the Community Cavalcade dressed in 1940’s outfits.

Would you like to be a sponsor?  For details on how to be a Hero sponsor please click here or we can create a bespoke package if you would like to sponsor a zone or activity.

Do you belong to a community group or a sport’s team? How would you like to be part of the cavalcade?

However big or small, your support will be incredibly helpful. Please get in touch by emailing [email protected].
